Darren Scott has spent most of his life perfecting his craft in front of Australian and international audiences. An exceptional guitarist and vocalist, he performs at sea for Carnival Cruise Line and, when he is home, plays regularly at venues and events across Queensland.

Between Queensland bookings, Darren performs internationally for Carnival Cruise Line. Cruise ship contracts are unforgiving: multiple shows a day, a new audience every week, and no room at all for an off night.

It is the best training a solo entertainer can get, and it is why a three-hour wedding reception in Brisbane holds no surprises.

Common questions

What areas of South East Queensland do you cover?

Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, Ipswich, Toowoomba and Byron Bay. Travel further afield is possible, just ask when you enquire.

Do you perform solo, or with a band?

Both. Solo guitar and vocals is the most popular option, and there is also a duo and a trio for events that want more energy. DJ sets can be combined with any of them.

Can you be the ceremony musician, the MC and the DJ?

Yes. Many weddings book live acoustic music for the ceremony and canapes, a live set after dinner, and DJ sets through to the end of the night, all from one supplier with one PA and one point of contact.

Do you take song requests?

Yes. The repertoire runs to more than 400 songs and is published in full on this site. Special requests can usually be learned with reasonable notice, including a first dance song.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the date, the length of performance, the location and whether you want DJ sets added. Send the date and the venue and you will get a straight price, usually the same day.

Do you provide your own PA and lighting?

Yes. Professional PA, microphones and lighting are supplied and set up as standard, sized to the room. Public liability insurance and electrical test and tag certification are current.
